This course surveys theory and practice of comparative literature. The discipline of comparative literature emerging in the 19th century following the rise of nation states has now evolved into a discipline informed by cultural studies, postcolonial theory, and critical theory in its analytical procedure. Since theoretically this discipline is not separable from current literary theory, this course focuses on ways of comparing literature across languages and cultures to make literary studies less Eurocentric and American-centric.

Mata kuliah ini membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan dalam menyusun proposal penelitian yang sesuai dengan standar akademik. Materi mencakup pemilihan topik, perumusan masalah, kajian pustaka, metodologi, penyusunan kerangka berpikir, hingga etika penelitian. Mahasiswa akan dilatih melalui praktik langsung, diskusi, serta presentasi rancangan proposal

This course explores the nexus between energy and food systems through the perspective of economics. It analyzes the role of energy in agricultural production, food distribution, and global food security, as well as the impacts of climate change, trade, and policy. Students will engage with theoretical frameworks, case studies, and policy debates to develop a comprehensive understanding of the interconnections between energy and food systems in the context of sustainable development.
